What Happens After You Call

1. Free on-site risk assessment
‍We walk the property with you — no charge, no obligation. Drones, photography, and mapping give us a complete picture rather than what's visible from the driveway: roof condition, vent locations, deck construction, fuel continuity, slope, and whether an engine can reach you and turn around.

You'll get our honest read before you decide anything. The photography also becomes your "before" documentation, which matters later.

‍2. A plan built for your property
‍Colorado's landscapes vary and so do properties — there's no standard prescription. We sit down with you and design around your ground, your priorities, and your budget.

That includes decisions that are yours to make: how you want Zone 1 finished, which trees matter to you, how far to take the work in year one. We'll tell you what we'd prioritize and why, then build the plan you actually want.

‍3. Implementation
‍Before crews arrive we do a preliminary walkthrough — more photographs, trees marked for removal, safety hazards flagged. Nothing gets cut that you haven't seen marked.

‍Then we work. Vegetation and thinning per the plan, home hardening where it's included — WDM 98 ember-resistant mesh under decks and screening vents, round soffit vents replaced with metal screen units, ember-resistant gutter guards. Slash is chipped on site or hauled off, so the property is finished when we leave rather than covered in what we cut.

‍4. Documentation you can use
When the job's done, you receive a complete packet: home ignition zone maps, before-and-after photography, and itemized receipts.

Under HB25-1182, effective July 2026, insurers using wildfire risk models must disclose your wildfire risk score, account for documented mitigation, and give you a process to appeal it. Carriers still make their own decisions — but undocumented work gives them nothing to work with. We'll send the packet directly to your agent if you'd like, so it's on file before your renewal.

The same documentation supports Colorado's state mitigation tax credit and most cost-share grant applications.

‍5. Maintenance
‍Mitigation isn't a do-it-once job. Vegetation regrows, needles fall every year, and in some Colorado counties defensible space permits now carry a term with a maintenance obligation attached.

We'll leave you knowing exactly what to watch and when. If you'd rather not handle it yourself, we schedule annual pre-season visits — and where permits expire, we'll tell you when yours is coming due.
